Dr. (Mrs.) Usha Dixit

Dr. (Mrs.) Usha Dixit, Scientist in the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has made significant and outstanding contributions to the various activities related to promotion of Science & Technology, technology adaptation, transfer as well as R&D in Societal programmes. She has greatly contributed towards the formulation of the New Initiatives of Science and Society Division for promotion of emerging and frontier areas of science and technology in the country for young students as well as for elderly population. She also gained considerable national/international exposure to the issues connected with technology development and management addressing the societal needs.

Dr.Usha with PDF in Biotechnology from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, has several publications in International/ national journals/ books/proceedings and has 3 patents to her credit. She has also involved in guiding research scholars, conducting workshop on Tissue Culture Techniques & innovative methods of cultivating Microalgae and capacity building/awareness programmes for school & college students. She also addresses to the issues pertaining to water conservation, water borne pathogens and DST women fellowship for societal programmes.
