- AbstractFTIR spectroscopy has been successfully employed to compare the saliva of the diseased and normal pregnant women. The absorption values of the specific bands of the spectra in each trimester compared, and the internal ratio parameter are calculated. The study shows that there is a change in the salivary pattern of normal and diseased women in each trimester.
